A site specific performance created during a 3 week residence in St. Petersburg, organized by TOK curators as part of Critical Mass -public art event and performed with the “17 pages” excellent young performing group.
Based on the known science fiction novel by Ray Bradbury, this is a contemporary artistic research into the subject of censorship in today’s Russia. What should be forbidden, if at all? How does self-censorship become more efficient than the government’s own laws? Combining puppetry, dance and clowning practice we have built the performance into the library space of the British Book Center / Izmaelovsky library.
