This is a collection of three puppetry plays, all based the Grimm brothers’ tale “Three Army Surgeons”, but each one adapted into a distinct genre: a Punch & Judy show, a classical Greek tragedy, and a horror-trash play. Moving between the writing styles, this book demonstrates puppetry’s ability to shock, entertain and puzzle regardless of period or culture.
