Alice in Fatherland

A Political Promenade Theatre Picnic

What kind of wonderland is Finland today? Hop in the hole and let yourself fall deep down, to the twilight zone between fairy tales and political reality, surrealism, fascism and half a cup of tea.

Each one of the audience is Alice. Through the park on a bright Finnish summer night, Alices are guided by white rabbits from one scene to the other, meeting characters which are strangely familiar yet familiarly strange, as the Lion of Finland and the card-soldiers Elovena and Paula.

Alice in Fatherland was made in 2011 as part of Sixfingers Theatre Mikropatia project. It might very well return one day.
